Studies from University of Cincinnati, Department of Biological Sciences yield new information about HIV/AIDS co-infection in children

Scientists discuss in 'Microsporidian infection is prevalent in healthy people in Cameroon' new findings in HIV/AIDS co-infection. According to recent research published in the Journal of Clinical Microbiology, "'Most studies of opportunistic infections focus on those with weak immune systems, such as human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)/AIDS patients and children. However, there is a lack of information on these infectious agents in healthy people worldwide."
