New renal disease therapy research from Mount Sinai School of Medicine, Department of Medicine outlined

New research, 'End-stage renal disease and kidney transplant in HIV-infected patients,' is the subject of a report. "Chronic kidney and end-stage renal disease are important complications of HIV disease and treatment. African Americans with HIV infection are at significantly increased risk for development of chronic kidney disease and for progression to end-stage renal disease," researchers in the United States report.
