Buchanan County Health Center in Iowa plans expansion

Buchanan County Health Center in Independence, Iowa, is planning a $2.5 million wellness and therapy center aimed at helping recovering patients and encouraging illness prevention. The building, set to open in April, will include a walking track, exercise equipment and a four-lane lap pool. "It's more than just a building with exercise equipment," said Kevin Greenley, director of wellness and therapy. The concept is to work with people while they're healthy, instead of treating them once they're sick or injured.
