Emerald Bio sells bioinsecticide business to Laverlam International

Emerald BioAgriculture Corp. announced that it is selling its biological insecticide business to Laverlam International Corp., sister company of Laverlam, SA, Cali, Colombia. Being sold are three bioinsecticide products (BotaniGardES, BotaniGard 22WP, and MycotrolO) based on the naturally occurring fungus Beauveria bassiana, and a manufacturing facility located in Butte, Montana. The transaction is expected to be completed by February 1, 2005. The terms of the sale were not disclosed. In 2001, Emerald Bio acquired the biological insecticide business through a merger with Mycotech Corp. in Butte. According to John L....
