Treatment with menatetrenone (vitamin K2) and vitamin D2 plus calcium supplements increases bone mineral density in elderly women with Alzheimer's disease, neurologists report. "A high incidence of fractures, particularly of the hip, represents an important problem in patients with Alzheimer's disease (AD), who are prone to falls and may have osteoporosis," said Y.
