Alimera Sciences, Inc., named Phil Tracy, JD, chairman of the company's board of directors. Highly respected in the pharmaceutical and venture capital industries, Tracy served from 1989 to 1995 as the president and CEO of Burroughs Wellcome Co., a major pharmaceutical company with $1.2 billion in sales and 5,000 employees, until its 1995 merger with Glaxo, Inc.
