Convalescent plasma therapy shortens hospitalization stays of SARS patients. According to recent research published in the European Journal of Clinical Microbiology & Infectious Diseases, "In order to evaluate the efficacy of convalescent plasma therapy in the treatment of patients with severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS), 80 SARS patients were given convalescent plasma at Prince of Wales Hospital, Hong Kong, between 20 March and 26 May 2003."
