Glaucoma compounds show potential to treat eye disease

Two proprietary compounds of Allon Therapeutics, Inc., (NPC) have the potential to become new treatments for diseases of the optic nerve and retina - including glaucoma, the second most common cause of blindness in the United States - according to results of a preclinical study published in the March issue of Investigative Ophthalmology & Visual Science. The two compounds are AL-108, Allon's lead product candidate now being evaluated in human clinical trials as a treatment for Alzheimer disease, and AL-209, one of Allon's preclinical-stage product candidates.
