Liposomal amphotericin B safe and effective for fungal infection treatment

A liposomal formulation of amphotericin B is a safe and effective treatment for fungal infections in acute leukemia patients. In a recent study from Italy, the "incidence of fungal infections and the role of liposomal amphotericin B (Ambisome) in proven and probable infections were evaluated in acute leukemic patients, intolerant to conventional amphotericin B."
