Nuclear factor of activated T cells regulates tumor necrosis factor production

According to a study from the United States, nuclear factor of activated T cells (NFAT) regulates calcium-sensing receptor (CaR)-mediated tumor necrosis factor (TNF) production.

"Because NFAT has been implicated in TNF production as well as osmoregulation and salt and water homeostasis, we addressed whether CaR-mediated TNF production in medullary thick ascending limb (mTAL) cells was NFAT dependent," wrote H.I. Abdullah and colleagues, New York Medical College.
