Scientists discuss in "A randomised controlled trial comparing bipolar hemiarthroplasty with total hip replacement for displaced intracapsular fractures of the femoral neck in elderly patients" new findings in bone research. According to a study from Stockholm, Sweden, "The best treatment for the active and lucid elderly patient with a displaced intracapsular fracture of the femoral neck is still controversial.
