Study findings from Case Western Reserve University, Department of Surgery broaden understanding of medicare and medicaid

New investigation results, "Avoidance of complications in older patients and medicare recipients undergoing gastric bypass," are detailed in a study published in Archives of Surgery. "Perioperative morbidity and mortality do not increase in carefully evaluated and managed Medicare and elderly patients undergoing gastric bypass. Retrospective review of a prospectively maintained bariatric database," investigators in the United States report.
