VEGF Expression in Different Histological Types of Thyroid Tumors

The histological types of thyroid tumor may establish the vascular pattern by way of a paracrine mechanism that involves vascular endothelial growth factor, researchers indicate.

Angiogenesis studies on vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) - also known as vascular permeability factor (VPF) - address various types of malignant tumors; however, little is known about the role or significance of VEGF in human thyroid neoplasms, noted R.
