In a recent study from Spain, "[h]ydrophilic albumin microspheres" were evaluated for use as "a new delivery system" for AMB.
"The acute toxicity of AMB microspheres was lower than that of the AMB-deoxycholate (AMB-Doc) reference formulation in hamsters," J.A. Sanchez-Brunete and coauthors at the University of Complutense found. "Lethal doses in healthy and infected animals were improved at least eight times."
