Reports outline breast cancer study results from Genentech, Inc.

"Patterns of breast cancer care continue to be amended because of the more frequent use of anthracyclines and taxanes in earlier lines of therapy (particularly in the adjuvant setting) and the emergence of multidrug resistance. When treating women with recurrent or metastatic breast cancer that is resistant to anthracyclines and taxanes, nurses have a unique opportunity to foster a sense of hope by helping patients understand available treatment options and what to expect during therapy," scientists writing in the Clinical Journal of Oncology Nursing report.
