Device firm reports 33% increase in revenues

Closure Medical Corporation (CLSR) announced results for the second quarter and 6 months ended June 30, 2004.

Second-quarter 2004 revenues increased 33% to $11.3 million from $8.5 million during the same period of 2003. For the 6 months ended June 30, 2004, revenues were $21.7 million compared to $16.6 million in the same period of 2003, representing an increase of 31%.

Net income for the second quarter of 2004 increased 52% to $2.5 million, or $0.17 per diluted share, compared to $1.7 million, or $0.12 per diluted share in the prior year period.
