FDA approves advanced digital pacemaker

Vitatron, a European-based subsidiary of Medtronic, Inc., (MDT) announced the recent U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval and U.S. launch of the Vitatron T-series pacemaker, an advanced implantable heart device based on a digital processing platform.

Vitatron first introduced digital technology for pacemakers with its C-series device in September 2003, and the follow-up introduction of the T-series expands Vitatron's commitment to advancing pacemaker therapy with digital signal processing.
