Scott Borland named vice president of engineering by drug delivery company

Scott Borland has joined Capnia's executive management team as vice president of engineering.

Borland is responsible for directing the company's drug delivery development as well as device engineering and manufacturing.

Borland has more than 10 years of technology development, product development, and process engineering experience, most recently as senior director, Engineering and Operations, Aerogen, Inc. He has held several positions in the medical device, drug delivery, and computer hardware industries with Therics, Inc., Topaz Technologies, and Applied Magnetics, and was a visiting scientist at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
