Trial results demonstrate safety, tolerability of HGS-ETR1 in advanced cancers

Human Genome Sciences, Inc., (HGSI) announced that the results of ongoing phase I clinical trials demonstrate the safety and tolerability of HGS-ETR1 (agonistic human monoclonal antibody to TRAIL Receptor 1) in patients with advanced solid tumors or non-Hodgkin lymphoma, and support further evaluation of HGS-ETR1 in phase II clinical trials, both as a single agent and in combination with chemotherapy.

Safety, pharmacokinetic, and biological activity data from two phase I studies of HGS-ETR1 were presented at the 16th EORTC-NCI-AACR Symposium on Molecular Targets and Cancer Therapeutics in Geneva, Switzerland.
