U.S. FDA gives nod to OTC use of insulin-dosing technology

Dimensional Dosing Systems, Inc., announced that the company has received FDA (U.S. Food and Drug Administration) approval for over the counter (OTC) patient use of the company's insulin-dosing technology in clinical trials.

The Intelligent Dosing System (IDS) incorporates patient-specific dosing data into a proprietary model that calculates the optimal next dose needed to achieve a desired target level or goal.

The IDS requires only two prior dose and response inputs to calculate the optimal next dose and is effective in the simultaneous dosing of multiple agents.
