Imaging device company recognizes 44 inventors at award dinner

Medrad honored 44 employee inventors who have collectively generated 24 medical device patents. The patents were submitted by teams of scientists, engineers and marketers. Medrad began with founder M. Stephen Heilman's, MD, invention of the first angiographic injector in 1966. He created a machine to power inject contrast agent into the vessels during an angiogram procedure, making it possible to better diagnose the heart disease and stroke patients he saw in the emergency room.
