Study shows hyperthermia improves effectiveness of radiation therapy

BSD Medical Corp. (BSDM) announced that researchers from Duke University Medical Center have authored a report in the Journal of Clinical Oncology, which describes a striking clinical advantage in the use of hyperthermia, or heat therapy, as an adjuvant to radiation therapy for patients with post-mastectomy chest wall recurrence, in comparison to patients who have been treated with radiotherapy alone.
