CombiMatrix forms diagnostics subsidiary

Acacia Research Corp. (CBMX) announced that CombiMatrix Corp. has formed a wholly owned subsidiary, CombiMatrix Molecular Diagnostics, Inc., (CMD), to take advantage of CombiMatrix's approach to microarray-based diagnostics. Matthew C. Watson will be CEO, and David A. Baunoch, PhD, will be president and COO of CMD. Watson and Baunoch come to CMD from US LABS, which was recently acquired by Laboratory Corp. of America (LH), where they were vice president of laboratory operations and vice president of research and development, respectively.
