Medical transport company announces contract with Orlando-area health system

Rural/Metro Corporation (RURL) announced that it has been awarded a new contract to assume all medical transportation services from Orlando Regional Healthcare System in Central Florida.

The contract is valued at approximately $7 million in net revenue annually and provides for an initial 3-year term, followed by automatic, 1-year renewal periods thereafter.

Orlando Regional Healthcare has provided nonemergency medical transportation services under the name Mobile Care to the tricounty area - including Orange, Osceola and Seminole counties - since 1987.
