V.A.C. Therapy shown effective and safe for healing diabetic foot amputation wounds

A study recently published in the The Lancet (2005; 366; 366) by Dr. David G Armstrong and Lawrence A Lavery, investigated whether negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT) improves the proportion and rate of wound healing after partial foot amputation in patients with diabetes.
