Integrated Healthcare Association releases 5-year report on pay for performance experience

The Integrated Healthcare Association (IHA) released a report at the National Pay for Performance Summit in Los Angeles, California, on lessons learned from one of the largest U.S. pay for performance (P4P) program for physicians and offering guidance to other efforts.

P4P involves 225 physician groups representing approximately 35,000 doctors who provide care for 6.2 million HMO patients in California.

Drawing on 5 years experience administering the (P4P) program, the report also lays out a strategic plan for the next 5 years.
