WHO designates Pennsylvania hospital first Health Promoting Hospital in the United States

The World Health Organization (WHO) has named Memorial Medical Center as the first Health Promoting Hospital (HPH) in the United States. The WHO's health-promotion organization is dedicated to improving equity in health, reducing health risks and promoting healthy lifestyles and environments.
