Robert L. Barchi, Alan W. Dunton named to VWR International, Inc. board of directors

VWR International, a life science research laboratory, announced the appointments of Robert L. Barchi, MD, PhD, and Alan W. Dunton, MD, to the company's board of directors. Their appointments expand the company's board of directors from 11 members to 13.

Barchi, 59, has been president of Thomas Jefferson University since September 2004. Prior to that, he was provost of the University of Pennsylvania (1999-2004), where he held various positions for over 30 years. Before becoming provost he was the chair of the Department of Neurology and was founding chair of the University's Department of Neuroscience.
