Promising early results seen with adjuvant treatments for renal cell carcinoma

"Despite significant advances in the diagnosis, staging and treatment of patients with renal cell carcinoma, recurrence rates following surgical resection of locally aggressive tumors remain high. In an effort to delay disease progression and improve survival, the concept of adjuvant therapy has been proposed," scientists writing in the journal Expert Opinion on Pharmacotherapy reported.
