St. Vincent Carmel Hospital installs Fonar upright multi-position MRI scanner

The technology was purchased from GE Healthcare, which is the manufacturer's representative of Fonar.
The patient friendly MRI scanner alleviates patients' claustrophobic reactions from the conventional tubular MRI scanners. The 9-foot, $1.5 million device can hold patients up to 500 pounds.
