Vertex Pharmaceuticals Incorporated (Nasdaq: VRTX) will announce its first quarter 2007 financial results on Monday, April 30, 2007 after the financial markets close. The Company will host a conference call at 5:00 p.m. EDT.

The conference call will be webcast live and may be accessed from the 'Events Calendar' of Vertex's website at www.vrtx.com. A replay of the conference call and webcast will be archived on the Company's website until May 14, 2007. To ensure a timely connection, it is recommended that users register at least 15 minutes prior to the scheduled webcast.
