Researchers from Institute of Food Provide Details of New Studies and Findings in the Area of Peptides and Proteins

2012 APR 16 -- New investigation results, "Sub-persistence-length complex scaling behavior in lysozyme amyloid fibrils," are detailed in a study published in Physical Review Letters. "We combine atomic force microscopy single-molecule analysis with polymer physics concepts to study molecular conformations of lysozyme amyloid fibrils. We resolve a wavy structure of the fibrils in which the scaling behavior varies at multiple length scales," researchers in Zurich, Switzerland report.
