Mutant staphylococcal enterotoxin protects against infection

According to recent research published in the journal Infection and Immunity, "Staphylococcal enterotoxin C (SEC), a bacterial superantigenic exotoxin, is commonly produced by invasive Staphylococcus aureus isolates, especially methicillin-resistant strains and isolates from animal diseases.
