Lyophilization technology licensed to Cepheid

Abaxis, Inc., (ABAX) announced that it has completed an agreement to license a portion of its patent portfolio covering lyophilization technology to Cepheid (CPHD). "Lyophilization is essentially the process of freeze-drying reagents in micro quantities," commented Clint Severson, chairman, president and CEO of Abaxis.
