Medical devices company introduces thoracic system for robotic cardiac surgery

ATS Medical, Inc. (ATSI) announced the introduction of the ATS Medical Thoracic Port System. The system's new technology complements robotic surgery and brings improvement to minimally invasive cardiac surgery procedures. The system consists of stainless steel ports in six sizes and facilitates excellent visibility in the chest without interrupting the surgical field. Rib spreading is eliminated and travel of fat and tissue into the chest cavity is minimized. Components are sterilizable and reusable.
