Applied Biosystems names TLV Kumar president for Asia Pacific region

Applied Biosystems (ABI), an Applera Corp. business, announced that TLV Kumar has been appointed president for its Asia Pacific operations. Applied Biosystems is a global leader in the life sciences industry and research community, developing and marketing instrument-based systems, consumables, software, and services. Kumar, age 51, will be responsible for executing the organization's growth strategies throughout the region with direct oversight of all marketing, sales, product management, customer service, supply chain, purchasing, quality, regulatory and business excellence activities.
