Suros, SenoRx set terms to settle breast biopsy system patent infringement lawsuit

Medical device manufacturer Suros Surgical Systems, Inc., maker of the ATEC breast biopsy and excision system, announced that it has agreed to settle the current patent infringement lawsuit brought by Suros against SenoRx. Suros has agreed to settle the lawsuit provided that SenoRx complies with the terms of the settlement agreement in the agreed upon timeframe. Terms of the agreement stipulate that SenoRx is required to immediately modify the accused infringing product, the EnCor disposable breast biopsy system, and discontinue the manufacture, use and sale of the current version of the product by October 31, 2006.
