Adiponectin downregulates its own production and the expression of its receptor

According to recently published research from Belgium, adiponectin (ApN) downregulates its own production and the expression of its AdipoR2 receptor in transgenic mice. "ApN is an adipokine whose expression and plasma levels are inversely related to obesity and insulin-resistant states.
