ACS EDI Gateway Receives Electronic Healthcare Accreditation From Independent Agency

Affiliated Computer Services, Inc. (NYSE:ACS), announced that its subsidiary, ACS EDI Gateway, Inc., the company's health information clearinghouse, has attained its Electronic Healthcare Network Accreditation Commission (EHNAC) accreditation. The two- year accreditation shows healthcare clients that the company achieves and adheres to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).

The accreditation positions ACS EDI Gateway to expand its services nationwide with the expectation that States will mandate that all clearinghouses submitting transactions to healthcare payers must be accredited. Currently two states, Maryland and New Jersey, require...
