Reps. Doyle, Smith, Engel and Pickering Introduce House Version of Expanding the Promise for Individuals with Autism Act

The Autism Society of America (ASA) hailed today's introduction by U.S. Representatives Mike Doyle (D-PA), Chris Smith (R-NJ), Eliot Engel (D -NY) and Chip Pickering (R-MS) of the House version of the Expanding the Promise for Individuals with Autism Act of 2007 (EPIAA). This legislation, if passed, would provide approximately $350 million to improve access to comprehensive treatments, interventions, and services for individuals with autism and their families.
