Advanced Magnetics, Inc., (AVM) announced its operating results and revenues for the second fiscal quarter and 6-months ended March 31, 2003. Revenues for the quarter were $1,013,948 as compared to revenues of $2,044,992 for the same period in fiscal 2002. There was a net loss of ($647,518), or ($0.10) per share, as compared to a net profit of $421,170, or $0.06 per share, for the second fiscal quarter of 2002. The decrease in revenue is primarily attributable to a decrease in product sales, which are highly variable from quarter to quarter, and a decrease in the amount of deferred revenue recognized in the quarter.
