Revenue increases 93% for drug discovery company

Deltagen, Inc., (DGEN) reported financial results for the fourth quarter and year ended December 31, 2002. Revenue for the fourth quarter of 2002 increased 93% to $4.7 million, compared to $2.5 million for the corresponding period in 2001. For the year ended December 31, 2002, revenue increased 79% to $17.7 million from $9.9 million in 2001. The net loss for the fourth quarter was $21.0 million, or $0.52 per share, compared to a net loss of $14.9 million, or $0.48 per share, in the fourth quarter of 2001.
