Combination of RSR13, thoracic radiation may extend survival

Allos Therapeutics, Inc., (ALTH) announced the presentation of a retrospective case-match analysis of survival results of a phase II study of the radiation sensitizer RSR13 (efaproxiral) in patients with locally advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) compared to survival results of a phase III randomized study, RTOG 94-10, in the same patient population. Median survival of patients treated in the RSR13 study was 20.6 months as compared to a median survival of 14.6 months for patients in the sequential chemoradiotherapy (S-CRT) arm and 17.0 months for patients in the concurrent chemoradiotherapy (C-CRT) arm of study RTOG 94-10.
