Amylin Pharmaceuticals, Inc., (AMLN) reported its financial results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2003. The company reported a net loss of $37.2 million, or $0.40 per share, and $68.0 million, or $0.74 per share for the 3 and 6 months ended June 30, 2003, respectively. These results compare with reported losses of $27.2 million, or $0.34 per share and $49.3 million, or $0.64 per share for the comparable periods in 2002. The company held cash, cash equivalents, and short-term investments of approximately $370 million at June 30, 2003.
