Moxonidine effective for metabolic syndrome X treatment in rats

Unlike other antihypertensive agents, moxonidine ameliorates all aspects of metabolic syndrome X in rats. "Hypertension often coexists with hyperlipidemia, insulin resistance, and glucose intolerance, a comorbidity known as metabolic syndrome X," scientists in Cleveland explained.
