Singapore attracts three scientists to spur translational and clinical research efforts

In line with Singapore's plans to increase emphasis on translational and clinical research, the country has attracted three top scientists: Philippe Kourilsky, Edward Holmes and Judith Swain.

Kourilsky, an expert in molecular immunology and tumor immunity, has accepted the position of chairman of the Singapore Immunology Network (SIgN), which was started by the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) to increase the synergy between immunology research groups in Singapore, build up critical resources and infrastructure, and ensure strong links with other A*STAR initiatives such as the Singapore Stem Cell Consortium, Singapore Bioimaging Consortium and...
