Onercept evaluated for use in moderate-to-severe Crohn's disease

A study from Belgium has reported on the evaluation of onercept for use in moderate-to-severe Crohn disease (CD). "Onercept is a recombinant, soluble human p55 receptor to tumor necrosis factor-alpha. A randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, dose-ranging trial was performed to evaluate the efficacy of onercept induction therapy in patients with CD," wrote P. Rutgeerts and colleagues, University Hospital Gasthuisberg.
