Trial Schedule for Three Products Released

Synthetic Blood International Inc. (SYBD), San Diego, California, released a report prepared by San Diego Clinical Research Associates (SDCRA) that outlines the clinical trial schedule for its research and development through 1996.

SYBD is developing three biomedical products: an implantable glucose biosensor to help diabetics regulate their blood-sugar levels; Oxycyte, an oxygen-carrying universal synthetic blood substitute; and Fluorovent, a liquid ventilation product that also carries and exchanges high concentrations of oxygen. The synthetic blood product and liquid ventilation formula are based on fluorocarbon technology.
