Reprogenesis, L.P., Charlotte, North Carolina, announced that it has entered into a joint collaboration of urological applications of tissue engineering with American Medical Systems, Inc..

Tissue engineering incorporates the principles of cell and molecular biology, biochemistry and polymer science, and tissue reconstruction to create new, permanent tissue replacements for the treatment of human illness. American Medical Systems offers products for the treatment of urological disorders including urinary incontinence, impotence, and prostate disease.
