Oncolysin B Eliminated MDR Tumors in Mice

Published in Blood Weekly, May 13th, 1996

Researchers from ImmunoGen, Inc., Cambridge, Massachusetts, published data demonstrating that Oncolysin B overcame and eliminated multi-drug resistance in tumors.

The results, published in the May 1, 1996, issue of Blood, further showed that mice given drug-resistant human tumors were completely cured when treated with Oncolysin B followed by a combination of conventional chemotherapeutic agents. These findings are especially important because multi-drug resistance in tumors is a major limitation in the successful treatment of many cancers.
